Gachagua tells Samidoh to Keep His Family in Order after Dubai Drama

Rigathi Gachagua

Rigathi Gachagua has advised Mugithi singer Samidoh to keep his family business and matters in order and avoid airing his dirty linen. This was after the singer’s wife Edday Nderitu and nominated senator Karen Nyamu fought over him in a Dubai Nightclub where he was performing.

The deputy president of Kenya on a light note told Samidoh that he was embarrassing us in a foreign country.

“Samidoh, you know how we love you and your songs. Don’t take your family affairs abroad. We don’t want foreigners to know so much about us,” Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua told Samidoh.

Gachagua, while speaking at the funeral of Pauline Nyokabi the sister to the cabinet secretary of Trade, Investment and Industry, Moses Kuria, warned Samidoh that he would be punished if he does not sort his family issues out.

“Wewe Samidoh ni rafiki yangu, na unajua vile tunakupenda na nyimbo zako lakini kuna pahali unatuangusha kidogo. Samidoh needs to control his people because as the African proverb says, ‘an elephant never tires carrying its tusks’, We will discipline you. We will not allow you to go overseas or we will limit you to going alone,” Rigathi Gachagua said as the audience laughed.

On December 16, 2022, a video circulated online of Edday Nderitu and Karen Nyamu fighting in a Dubai nightclub. It started when Karen Nyamu was taken off stage during an artist’s live performance.

Shortly after Karen Nyamu went to the reserved launch where she saw Samidoh sitting with Edday Nderitu. Though the security personnel attempted to keep Karen Nyamu off she managed to reach Samidoh and briefly sat on his lap.

This is when Edday Nderitu charged at Karen Nyamu resulting in them fighting. The security stopped the fight and took Karen Nyamu away to avoid an even messier outcome.
