64-year-old Grammy winner Madonna is in Kenya and has created a beautiful glass mural in Kibera with her children
A beautiful mural of a dove and a ‘tree of life’ in Kibera by Madonna, is the perfect touch from the Grammy winner whose history is both remarkable and controversial. On Tuesday evening, Madonna posted on her Instagram sharing images and videos of the art.
The mural, as captioned, was in honor of the great work by Kennedy Odede through his organization – Shining Hope for Communities (SHOFCO). The organization aims to end gender-based violence by empowering women, giving them a safe place to start over, and pursuing legal action against offenders.
Madonna also visited the SHOFCO Kibera School of Girls and posed beside a motorcycle with a poster saying ‘Jesus Saves’. With her 17-year-old son David, 16-year-old daughter Mercy, and 10-year-old twins Stelle and Estere, Madonna ushered in 2023 in Malawi before arriving in Kenya. David, Mercy, Stelle, and Estere were adopted by the Material Girl singer after being born in Malawi.
