In his acceptance address, the prime minister praised the Masinde Muliro University administration for honoring him.
“In many ways, this honor reflects the efforts of the Kenyan people of all walks of life who, for the last 59 years, have worked together to restore peace, security, national unity, and reconciliation. In their endeavours, these Kenyans have managed to overcome serious adversity to usher in our nation’s collective aspirations for unity and sustainable development,” Mudavadi said.
The University Senate and University Council had previously recommended the Prime CS for the honor.
The Mudavadi Memorial Foundation Trust Fund’s creation, which addresses social needs, was cited by MMUST as evidence of the Prime CS’s “immense accomplishments in sustainable development.”
