Brenda Kerubo exits KTN

Brenda Kerubo, a journalist with KTN News Business, has left the station after working there for three years and seven months.The articulate journalist sent her deepest gratitude to the station that she believes helped her develop her profession, as she bid her viewers and followers a heartfelt farewell, from her Twitter handle.“Today l anchored my last bulletin at KTN News a place l consider home because of the people. A place where my career rose to a level l would never have imagined. Today l sign off and say goodbye. Thank you for watching and supporting my stories and programs, forever grateful,” said Kerubo.

When asked why she was departing, Kerubo, who presented the KTN News business series Captains of Industries and featured a variety of established and up-and-coming business executives, replied it was because of a shift in direction. Kerubo worked for the media company’s print division as well as production in addition to broadcasting.KTN News coworkers sent their warmest wishes to the outgoing journalist for her future endeavors.Prior to joining the Standard Group, Kerubo was a business journalist for Media Max and CGTN Africa. Days before her departure, a former coworker at the Mombasa Road-based media outlet shifted to Join Nation Media Groups NTV. The media outlet’s Nakuru reporter, Ibrahim Karanja, quit a few weeks ago to work for competitor NTV.Brenda kept her departure intentions a secret. Media houses are attempting to increase their capacity before the general elections on August 9 which will take place in just 26 days.
