Manchester United to learn play-off fate this month as Arsenal wait for the Europa League Round of 16 draw in January.
Last season a new rule was put in place, that will see Manchester United face tough opponents in the Europa League knockout play-off round.
The play-off draw will see second-placed teams in the Europa League; Manchester United, Roma, Monaco, PSV Eindhoven, Nantes, FC Union Berlin, and Rennes, vie with third-placed Champions League teams for a spot in the Round of 16.
This means that Group winners(Arsenal, Betis, Fenerbahçe, Ferencváros, Feyenoord, Freiburg, Real Sociedad, Union Saint-Gilloise) will not feature in European competitions until March.
