Content Creator Andrew Kibe, based in Texas, conducted a fundraiser on social media which was aimed at helping KK Mwenyewe, the comedian known for mimicking the deputy president Rigathi Gachagua.
Kibe stated that he teamed up with some friends to raise funds to clear the fee areas and support his talent.
“I recognized his talent, and a few friends and I came together to raise the money, between Ksh350,000-Ksh400,000. We want to give it to him because we know he is a good artist, and we hope he can continue doing what he does,” He said.
The comedian had appealed for money to pay his school fees at Kisii university. Many well-wishers have so far helped him including Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja.
The Nairobi governor paid full school fees for the comedian on October 29 as soon as he come out declaring that he was struggling with fee balances.
KK mwenyewe had a balance of 10,500 in school fees which were due on October 30.
The comedian said he was relying on HELB which is yet to be disbursed as other students do.
His plight caught the attention of thousands of sympathizers including that of famed lawyer Ahmednasir Abdulahi, popularly known as the Grand Mulla.

The comedian’s family had raised him a fee of 15,500 out of a balance of 29,400 that he had.
The comedian is among the list of other comedians who are just starting up.
KK Mwenyewe’s meteoric rise to fame is thanks to his Rigathi Gachagua act that has seen him win over the internet and become a staple on tabloid shows.
Rigathi Gachagua in an interview with Citizen back then had said that those young people should be rewarded.
