The word bullying is a term most people are familiar with having experienced bullying not only from their peers but also from their seniors at work or school. Bullying does not end in high school.
Many people have been victims of cyberbullying but choose to remain discreet and keep it a personal matter hoping that they will be able to overcome this obstacle on their own. But this type of strategy can prove to be more harmful rather than helpful.
Cyberbullying is the ideal harbinger of depression and anxiety, just to mention a few negative repercussions on society. It can get as serious as seeking professional help, which is highly encouraged, or talking to someone you trust about this issue in order for them to help you recover and overcome the challenge or situation.

Celebrities, influencers, content creators and active netizens frequently experience cyberbullying through various social media platforms. With every post, they risk the chance of people trolling them on the internet for no good reason, especially by masqueraders. Many famous people have been called names on the internet and trolled for absolutely nothing. Emotional abuse resulting from cyberbullying makes a majority of its victims lose their self-esteem and confidence. They end up feeling insecure and begin to isolate themselves from the world.
At times the consequences may be deeper than what was initially perceived by the perpetrator, despite most bullies’ default defence that they were “only joking and having fun”.
However, there are some individuals who are built for the digital age having dubbed themselves keyboard warriors — impervious to all malicious online attacks thrown their way, though at times they may be the actual cyberbully. They employ strategies to ensure they constantly remain balanced and detached from negativity.
While there are others who are sensitive and more prone to get hurt owing to past trauma or personality. Individual differences make any global village a place to carefully tread owing to diversity and cultural bias.
