Vetting process; The Agriculture Cabinet Secretary nominee- Mithika Linturi stated that he is strategically worth Ksh1.2 billion and his focus relies on dairy farming and agriculture.
Facing the vetting committee at the National Assembly, the agriculture nominee highlighted that his wealth includes; Shares of companies and investments such as venturing into real estate.

I also practice dairy farming whereby I have dairy cows for milk and also I do agricultural farming which greatly contributes the largest percentage of my income-Mithika added to his statement at the National Assembly on Friday, October 21, 2022.
Mr. Mithika Linturi actually started his political journey in 1997 whereby he clinches the Igembe South Parliamentary seat on a Safina party ticket and in the 2013 and 2017 general elections where he contested for the Senatorial seat and actually won the race.
The nominated Cabinet Secretary he significantly changed the political circle by joining the National Development Party of Kenya-NDP Before coming together with KANU.
If successful, Mr. Linturi will be sworn in as the new Cabinet Secretary for agriculture under the Kenya Kwanza ruling regime.
In addition, The nomination of Cabinet Secretaries was done by President- William Ruto in order to strengthen his Kenya Kwanza administration.
