Miguna Miguna

Embattled lawyer Miguna Miguna has high hopes and a conviction that he is going to come back to his homeland following the assumption of office by the sworn-in president William Ruto.

The renowned lawyer was deported to Canada in 2018 having participated in and oversaw the mock swearing-in of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga as the People’s President.

The lawyer has exuded much conviction and confidence in the tenure of President William Ruto whom he ascertains will let him back in the country by pulling down the red flags.

This statement follows President Ruto’s promise to have Miguna, who declared his support for the UDA leader, brought back into the country if he managed to ascend to the highest office.

Lawyer Miguna Miguna now says that the ‘red alerts’ hindering his return to the country will be lifted on Wednesday, September 14, 2022, following President William Ruto’s assumption of power.

Following the failure of efforts by Miguna to try and travel back to his native home Kenya, he stated on social media that once the red alerts issued by the government would be let down, he would be back this time.

Urging his supporters that his long stay in Canada on exile is about to end after the new head of state promised to facilitate his return.

“To all patriots: Relax. Thanks for the solidarity. Yes, I’ve packed my bags and I’m ready. But before I can take my flight back home, William Samoei Ruto must first be sworn in as President, the red alerts lifted and my Kenyan passport renewed. See you soon. Cheers!” Miguna wrote on Twitter on the 15th of August.

Further assuring that his processing of the passport is due on as he awaits confirmation that red alerts are down before setting a travel date.

“Thereafter, I will have my Kenyan Passport renewed and I’ll announce the date of my RETURN TO MY MOTHERLAND. Bravo!” Miguna added.
