Moses Kuria Declares Bid for Gatundu South MP Seat on UDA Ticket

Moses Kuria

Former Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria has formally declared his intention to contest the Gatundu South Member of Parliament seat under the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party.

In a brief but clear statement, Kuria confirmed that he has already completed the registration process as an aspirant, signaling his return to active electoral politics.

“I’ve registered as an aspirant to vie for Gatundu South MP on UDA ticket,” Kuria said.

The announcement positions Kuria for a political comeback in a constituency where he previously served as MP before moving to national leadership roles within government.

His entry into the race is expected to significantly reshape the local political landscape, given his previos experience in his former constituency.

Gatundu South, a key constituency in Kiambu County, is widely viewed as politically strategic within the Mount Kenya region.

Kuria’s declaration is likely to intensify competition within the ruling party’s primaries and attract heightened attention from both allies and rivals.

As the UDA nominations process takes shape, attention will now turn to how Kuria mobilizes support on the ground and how other aspirants respond to his entry into the race.
