The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has announced continued progress in its ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise, with over 90,000 new voters added to the register as of October 31, 2025.
In a statement released on Sunday, IEBC Chairperson Erastus Edung Ethekon reaffirmed the Commission’s commitment to ensuring that every eligible Kenyan has the opportunity to participate in shaping the nation’s democratic future through registration, verification, or transfer of voter details.
According to the latest figures, the CVR exercise has so far recorded 90,020 new registrations, 15,619 voter transfer and 188 updates
The data, drawn from all 290 constituency offices, reflects growing engagement by citizens ahead of upcoming 2027 general elections.
IEBC’s Call to Action
Ethekon underscored that a credible and up-to-date voter register is the “cornerstone of free, fair, and transparent elections.”
He urged all stakeholders — including political parties, civil society organizations, faith-based groups, and the media — to play an active role in mobilizing eligible Kenyans to register and verify their details.
