NFL legend Shannon Sharpe accidentally went live on his Instagram on Wednesday while getting intimate, and the video has swept the internet, putting the media personality on the spot.
The three-time Super Bowl champion and member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame came clean about the controversy of him unknowingly going live on IG while apparently having sex.
The “Club Shay Shay” podcast host addressed the blooper on his “Nightcap” show later in the evening and admitted that it was him who could be heard in the background.
“I’m disappointed in myself,” Sharpe told his Nightcap audience regarding the viral hanky-panky video that was accidentally shared on social media.
Sharpe initially claimed he was hacked and denied involvement, but his subsequent confession reveals he was an active participant and a healthy man at it.
“I threw my phone on the bed,” Sharpe explained. Apparently, he was unaware that the live stream was still on.
Sharpe clarified he was not embarrassed by what he was doing while the video was streaming live, but rather by his carelessness with technology during the heat of the moment.
“I am embarrassed. Someone that is extremely private, and to have one of your most intimate details, the audio heard for the entire world? I’m embarrassed for many reasons… I’m very disappointed in myself, not for the act but to have your most intimate detail heard.”
“My heart sank,” Sharpe told his listeners. “Then after, I called my agent, the agency. I called ESPN… I just got to tell them the truth. My phone wasn’t hacked,” added the NFL veteran.
During his unforgettable NFL career, the Pro Football Hall of Famer played for the Denver Broncos and the Baltimore Ravens.
Sharpe is human after all. Be careful with those gadgets good people!
