The solar photovoltaic (PV) – a nonmechanical device that converts sunlight directly into electricity – exhibition zone highlighted the crucial role of Chinese solar equipment, focusing on solar cells, photovoltaic panels, and related fields. These innovations are instrumental in helping European consumers combat escalating electricity prices.
Jay Solar, a prominent player in the solar industry, reported a remarkable doubling of revenue in Europe and America last year. In 2022, the company’s European revenue surged to an impressive 22.9 billion Yuan (Ksh495.18 billion), marking a substantial 120 percent year-on-year increase, and accounting for around 31 percent of its total revenue. This surge in revenue points out the growing demand for new energy development in Europe and America.
A visit to the reopened Beijing Fengtai Station provided insights into practical applications of solar technology. Spanning over 60,000 square meters, the station fully utilized its roof space with photovoltaic panels, contributing significantly to the generation of green electricity.
