However, in an extensive interview with L’Equipe, the 23-year-old disclosed the emotional connection that could potentially lead to his departure from the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu in future.

“I think I could stay here my whole career,” said Vinicius. “But the club of my life is Flamengo. I promised my father that I would come back one day. I have to keep this promise.”

Vinicius left Flamengo at the age of 17, having spent only two seasons in the first team.

His early years in Madrid were challenging, but he eventually rose to become one of the standout talents of his generation.

The Brazilian is undoubtedly a key man for Real Madrid yet the idea of a return to the club where his journey began remains a possibility.
