Aston Villa Fan Mistaken For a player Swarmed by Valencia fans

A man wearing Aston Villa attire was able to fully convince Valencia fans that he was a player for the club in some quite incredible scenes.

The fan travelled to Valencia to watch his beloved Villa play against the Spanish outfit in the pre-season friendly.

But there was utter hilarity before the game as the fan identified as Amando from Ghana, was mobbed by Valencia supporters who assumed he was a player.

Amando whose Twitter account is @Ghana Lions AVFC was wearing a Kappa Villa tracksuit containing the No.41, the jersey which midfielder Jacob Ramsey wears for the club.

He was swarmed by fans who asked for pictures and autographs.

Amando played along and did what the fans asked as seen in the viral video captioned,” I’m Jacob Ramsey, can’t believe my eyes. Im living the best of my life.”


The duping led to a buzz of reactions online.

One said,” I wonder who they thought he was.”

Another Twitter user said,”The sponsor on his shirt is out of date…. hilarious.”

A third stated,”Looool. Fair play for going along”.

Villa went 1-0 up through Ollie Watkins, who scored 15 times for Villa in the 2022/23 campaign.

Emery’s men, who will play in Europe this season, kick off the new season against Newcastle at St James’ Park on Saturday 12 August.
