Nick announced on his Instagram on Sunday evening that his comeback in the tournament would not happen.

“I am really sad that I have to withdraw from Wimbledon this year. I tried my hardest to be ready after my surgery and to be able to step on Wimbledon courts once again.”

He further went on and said how he experienced pain and as a precaution, he had it scanned and it came back showing a torn ligament in the wrist.

The new wrist injury is a further setback for the 28-year-old who underwent knee surgery at the start of the year.
