Maddie Ziegler started off her journey on the screens at the age of 11 years. She appeared on the controversial reality TV series “Dance Moms” where she stayed for 6 seasons in the show before calling it quits in 2016.
The 20-year-old was recognised by Sia while at “Dance Moms” and Sia went on and requested her to appear in the music video for her 2014 hit song “Chandelier.” That was the first time Maddie Ziegler appeared in Sia’s music videos.

Maddie has starred in more than one of Sia’s songs
Maddie has starred in other songs other than “Chandelier.” Maddie Ziegler went on to appear in music videos for Sia’s songs including hits “Elastic Heart” and “Big Girls Cry” in 2015, as well as “The Greatest” in 2016.
However, the “Elastic Heart” video sparked widespread controversy at the time of its release, given that it also featured Shia LaBeouf wearing nothing but a tight boxer.
Maddie also wore a tight, skin-coloured leotard in the video, and the pair performed an interpretative dance of sorts within the confines of a cage.
Shortly after the video was released, most people felt that the video had sexual undertones to it due to Maddie and Shia’s minimal, skin-coloured outfits and the nature of their dance.
Sia felt the need to apologize to her fans and clarified that she’d intended to create “emotional content.”

Maddie Ziegler gave a peep view of her close relationship with Sia and stated that she tweeted her asking her to be in her music video.
Moreover, Sia mentioned during an interview, that she felt obliged to keep her safe while making projects owing to Madiie’s young age.

In Maddie’s eyes, Sia coming into her life was a miracle. “She really felt like a guardian angel to me at that time. She, like, saved me from that show and everything I was doing,” Maddie added.
“I couldn’t believe that she came into my life, and I was so grateful. And I think now, looking back, I really am able to understand all that she did for me.”
