Real Madrid and Manchester United faced off at NRG Stadium in Houston, a treat for football fans in the United States.
Yesterday’s match marked a second pre-season friendly for the Los Blancos boys and a fifth for the Erik ten Hag squad.
In the opening two minutes of the match, young midfielder Kobee Maino went off with an injury.
United were briefly down to 10 men while Christian Eriksen prepared to come on and Real Madrid took advantage.
Antonio Rudiger clipped a long ball over to Real Madrid’s new signing, Jude Bellingham who then latched on it and lofted a delightful lob over Manchester United debutant, Andre Onana.

Onana was left upset as he complained to officials that Bellingham was offside.

Despite their efforts to level the score, United was unable to find an equalizer and the players seemed frustrated.
Towards the end of the first half, Bellingham turned near the halfway line after receiving the ball but found himself on the deck moments later after his legs were swiped away by Martinez.
Angered by the force of the challenge, he immediately rose to his feet and pushed Martinez.

Mason Mount swung into action and led away his England teammate before it got heated.
Martinez was booked for the tackle by referee Lukasz Szpala.
Coming into the second half, the Spanish giants were dominant and an attempt by Eder Nilitao(Real Madrid) was blocked.
In the 62nd minute, United’s coach, opted to introduce Harry Maguire into the match, replacing Raphael Varane as part of his pre-season squad rotation strategy.

However, his entrance onto the field was accompanied by boos from the spectators, creating a night to forget for Maguire.

In the 89th minute, Joselu got the fans off their feet after a stupendous bicycle kick which caught United’s Andre Onana offguard with no chance of saving it.
The late goal sealed a 2-0 victory over Manchester United.
