This comes recently after many churches especially from the coast have been called out for scamming their congregants into doing horrific things like starving themselves to death, selling their properties, going missing, buying allegedly miraculous handkerchiefs and water as advised by their pastors. Churches led by McKenzie and Ezekiel have been on the spotlight. With many people losing their loved ones to their churches now deemed as cults.
