Brian Chira Clarifies Speculations On Him Being Part Of LGBTQ

Other influencers especially male content creators have embraced cross-dressing as they make their content which has led some of them to be perceived as members of the LGBTQ community. While others happily accept that the cross-dressing has been a doorway to embrace their different sexuality others claim it is a brand.

One of them being Brian Chira. Brian Chira is a Tiktoker who is known for his type of content. He has been seen wearing women’s clothing, make-up and accessories. In an interview with Mpasho he clarified that he was not gay. When asked what is a misconception people believe about him, he replied by saying, ‘I’m gay’. When asked if it was true, he replied, ‘No, im not.’

He joins other Kenyan influencers like Kevin Kinuthia who clarified that he was part of the LGBTQ+ community but that was his brand. He said this when asked why he dressed in a woman’s suit at the State house visit.

In Uganda, the government has made it clear on where they stand when it comes to the LGBTQ+ community by passing a bill that they were warned not to by the United States and European Union. The bill includes death penalty for certain same sex acts and a 20-year sentence for promoting homosexuality.
