Self-proclaimed Messiah Yesu wa Tongaren was on Tuesday, June 6, surprised by Bungoma pastors with a theology Scholarship.
The Pastors believe that theology will help Eliud Wekesa(Yesu wa Tongaren) in discerning God’s word.
As they pitched their offer the evangelists said that they saw the need to help him undergo training that would aid him in serving the church.
Yesu wa Tongaren’s leads his church illegally since it is not registered. The church leaders want him to acquire the theology certificate so as to fast-track the registration process.

An enthusiastic Yesu wa Tongaren thanked the pastors for following his ministry by saying,
“People kept questioning why servants of God don’t visit me. As you can see today, evangelists have decided to visit Yesu wa Tongaren.”
He claimed that the visit was a way to prove his legitimacy. He did not categorically accept the offer but said:
“Serving God does not require academic qualifications. If God calls you to serve Him, He will guide you in the ministry.”
He concluded his remarks by saying that he would seek God’s intervention before making a decision.
