Romelu Lukaku reportedly set for a move to Saudi Arabia

Romelu Lukaku has reportedly travelled to Saudi Arabia to hold talks with Al Hilal. The Saudi club has offered Lukaku a two season contract worth €25m. The Belgian forward has spent the 20322/23 campaign on loan at Inter Milan from Chelsea.

The 30 year old has a rather impressive record in the Serie A club. He featured on Saturday’s Champions League clash with Manchester City and he has 14 goals to his name in all coemptions for the club.

Steven Zhang, Inters president is keen on bringing Lukaku on a permanent basis. Inter CEO Beppe Marotta revealed last month how the forward was set to return to Stamford Bridge.

According to Goal, the Chelsea forward has expressed his desire to remain at Inter but but it appears unlikely that the Italian giants will be able to keep him for another season.

Al-Hilal will have to enter into direct negotiations with Chelsea if they strike an agreement with Lukaku. Chelsea want an addition of €50m for Lukaku. However, Al Hilal is reluctant to pay that much but are open for a receptive deal with Chelsea.

A number of high profile players have made a move to Saudi Arabia with Ronaldo paving the way for more players to play in the Middle East. Ronaldo former team mate at Real Madrid has since move to Al Ittihad with Ng’olo Kante set to complete a move to Saudi Arabia.
