Dj Brownskin also known as Dj Michael Macharia, has been released On a Cash Bail of Sh100, 000 following his trial by Milimani Chief Magistrate Lucas Onyina.
“I find the pre-bail report tabled in court favors the accused persons herein by confirming that he is well known and has a fixed abode known by state agencies. This to me confirms the accused is not a flight risk and l will grant him bond in accordance with the law,” Onyina ruled.
DJ Brownskin who had been in custody for 14 days, was being charged with three felonies; aiding suicide, neglecting to prevent a felony, and destroying evidence by deleting videos related to the suicidal incident involving his wife Sharon Njeri in July 2022.

Brownskin pleaded not guilty to the charges and allegations that on July 29, 2022, at Kariobangi South, Buruburu sub-county he counseled Sharon Njeri Mwangi to kill herself. The Dj has been given what some would call temporary freedom or some sigh of relief, after being arrested on June 1, 2023.
