DCI: ‘DJ Brownskin Recorded and Sent Video of Wife Taking Own Life to Other Girlfriend’

On a video recorded by DJ Brownskin that was released on April 1, showed Sharon Njeri drinking what is believed to have been poison on the night of July 29 and 30,2022.

 Njeri slumped on the couch and called her two children to inform them of her impending death she then started writhing in pain and everything goes blank.

The mother of two collapsed and died shortly thereafter. She was buried at her parents’ home in Koimbe Weithaga, Murang’a.

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations has revealed the details of how a blogger got the video of the late Sharon Njeri’s last moments.

DCI boss Mohamed Amin said investigators had established that Njeri’s husband, Michael Macharia Njiiri aka DJ Brown Skin, after insensitively recording the ordeal, the entertainer sent the heart-wrenching video to his other girlfriend living abroad.

On April 1, about nine months after Njeri’s remains had been interred, the said girlfriend went public with the information through a popular blogger. We could not get a comment from Brownskin on the new revelation.

The (DCI) detectives on Thursday, June 1, arrested Michael Macharia Njiiri alias DJ Brownskin at a popular club in Kasarani, Nairobi in relation to his wife’s death.

His arrest came after police obtained an order from the Makadara magistrate’s court to hold He is being investigated for aiding suicide contrary to Section 225 (c) of the Penal Code.

“Brownskin failed to prevent the commission of the said offence which led to the death of Sharon,” police constable Wicks Lumumba of Kasarani said.

The entertainer was nabbed by sleuths based at Kasarani Police Station, after engaging them in cat-and-mouse games for the past few weeks.

 Taking to Twitter, detectives said the disc jockey had defied summonses by police to shed more light on the death of his 33-year-old wife Sharon Njeri, who ingested poison as he recorded

Njiiri is currently being held at Kasarani Police Station as detectives gather more information from witnesses.

DCI boss Mohamed Amin says that they are pursuing more leads in the case ahead of the appearance in court next

 He will be charged with the offence of aiding suicide and failing to prevent the same contrary to Section 225 (C) of the Penal Code.
