Andrew Tate Charged With Human Trafficking and Rape

Andrew Tate who has been on house arrest since early 2023, has been charged with human trafficking, rape, and forming an organized crime group to exploit women sexually in Romania.

Along with his brother Tristan, who is also facing the same charges, both have denied the allegation, saying the charges against them are politically motivated and made up in order to silence them.

The Tate brother has faced a series of allegation for over 8 months; In March, they were moved from custody to house arrest following a ruling by a Romanian judge.

“While this news is undoubtedly predictable, we embrace the opportunity it presents to demonstrate their innocence and vindicate their reputation.” Tate Media responded to the allegation. The team also requested that they should be given time to present a comprehensive body of evidence.

Tate who has been a voice of non-relenting masculinity also faced two other separate charges under investigation, including money laundering and trafficking of minors.

In August 2022, Andrew Tate, the self-proclaimed controversial online influencer, was banned from YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram. The bans were made following an online campaign to DE platform Tate, whose influence on his primarily young audience had become a growing concern among parents and teachers.

In 2017, he was permanently suspended for making misogynistic and harmful comments about women, including saying that they should bear some responsibility for being sexually assaulted.

Andrew Tate who dispenses wisdom on Twitter enjoys a great following that has grown since January up to 6.9 million followers.

The trial will not start immediately and is expected to take several years, Romanian news has reported.

Under Romanian law, the case will be sent to the court’s preliminary chamber, where a judge has 60 days to inspect the case files to ensure legality.
