Where are the Famous Churchill Show Comedians Now?

Churchill show was the family show that every Kenyan home tuned in to every Sunday for some good laughs or individuals would go to the live show on Thursday that was mostly done at Carnivore grounds, if the show was not going on tour.

It was hosted by the comedian Churchill, who gave a platform to many funny Kenyans with talent in comedy and open doors for them in careers in media and endorsement deals. Covid-19 happens and people are no longer allowed to gather in public spaces rendering the comedians to look for other means to create an income and remain relevant. So where are the comedians now?

Eric Omondi.

He has been on headlines for various reasons, like baby mama drama with Jackie Maribe where he was accused of not giving child support back in 2021 for seven years plus. He then had his own reality show; Wife Material that had a lot of drama not only during the filming of the show but afterwards with the authorities.

Recently, he has embraced activism, calling out the government for the harsh economic conditions. He has been arrested and arraigned severally for causing unease during his demonstrations in Nairobi town.

Eddie Butita.

A common name in the internet for various reasons but mostly his accomplishments of being a writer for the Netflix show; The Upshaws and producing the Kenyan series; A Nurse Toto. He seems to be doing quite well as he was seen landing at Akothee’s wedding on a helicopter with his girlfriend, Sadia.

He has had public baby mama drama with fellow Churchill comedian, Jebet. Being accused of not supporting his kids despite having financial stability at the time. He was a co-host at the Hot 96 radio station alongside, Jeff Koinange but lost his job amid the baby mama drama.

She is a growing content creator using her social media platforms to create entertaining content, mashing up with other comedians like Crazy Kennar. She has had her own share of drama claiming that other Kenyan female celebrities copy her and her boyfriend by posting pictures of themselves in a helicopter after seeing her post on the same.

She fully embraced social media as a way of sharing content and has since grown as one of the women who represented Kenya in South Africa for the Queen Charlotte, A Bridgeton Story premiere.
