Public figures including former US President Barrack Obama, country singer Dolly Parton and professional wrestler Ric Flair took to their social media platforms to talk about their experiences with the musician and how her music influenced their lives.

She has been praised for her singing prowess, her energy and her unique hairstyles.

On his Twitter page, Obama wrote;

Tina Turner was raw. She was powerful. She was unstoppable. And she was unapologetically herself—speaking and singing her truth through joy and pain; triumph and tragedy. Today we join fans around the world in honoring the Queen of Rock and Roll, and a star whose light will never fade.

Fans who interacted with the tweet also added to the praises showered on the singer naming her the queen of rock & roll.

American professional wrestler Ric Flair eulogized the singer in a statement on his Twitter account writing;

In My Opinion, The Greatest Female Artist of All Time! Enjoyed Every Moment of Every Song Over All Those Years! The Hardest Dancing Queen Ever! So Much Energy! Rest In Peace Tina!

Fellow female musicians Dolly Parton and Kelly Rowland also wrote heartfelt messages of condolences on their social media pages to pay tribute to the singer. Fans remembered Tina Turner not only for her amazing music and energetic performances but also for her trailblazing inspiration for some of the current musical icons. They also showed admiration for the musician’s confidence, one Twitter user wrote;
