For a third time this season, Arsenal and Manchester City will lock horns and the latest meeting at the Etihad Stadium come tomorrow could determine the Premier League champions.

Arsenal has a five-point lead at the top of the Premier League table heading into the final month of the season.

Furthermore, they’ve gone ten games unbeaten in the league – winning seven of them – yet those positives are outweighed by three consecutive draws against Liverpool, West Ham United and Southampton at perhaps the worst possible time and the fixture list doesn’t get easier.
If Arsenal is to win at Etihad

If Arsenal manages a victory at the Etihad Stadium they’ll move eight points clear of the defending champions at the top of the table and will be in a position where a perfect end to the campaign will see them lift the Premier League trophy for the first time in nearly two decades.
If Man City and Arsenal Draw

If it ends all square at the Etihad, there’s no doubt that Man City would be the happier of the two sides as they’ll wrestle control of the Premier League title as a result of having two games in hand, which if they win, would see them replace Arsenal at the top of the table.
If Man City Win
Interestingly, Arsenal are guaranteed to still be at the top of the table regardless of the result.

However, defeat at the Etihad would reduce the gap to just two points and because the Chelsea fixture has been rearranged, City will be the new league leader if they beat Fulham next Sunday.

“I’m in disbelief. I thought Newcastle would win the game, but to be 5-0 up after 21 minutes is incredible.
“There was a lot made about Antonio Conte when he came out with his outburst, but this is why he did it. Everything he said has come true.

However, it is now four matches unbeaten, with back-to-back victories following two draws, and represents their joint-best run of an inconsistent campaign.

“Things have changed,” agreed Klopp. “How we defend is much better, ball-orientated and compact.
“I saw a lot of top counter-pressing today. That, for us, is super important. We are much clearer in that department. It feels like it changed.
“If you are solid, aggressive and positive in your defending, you can build on that. “For me, it is the first time this season we have that. Late, but hopefully not too late.”

West Ham manager David Moyes said:
“There were so many good things about the performance. Obviously, the goals were a good thing. We scored four in midweek and we’ve done it again, so great credit to the players for the week we’ve had. Drawing against Arsenal, beating Gent and now winning at Bournemouth, I have to give them great credit for it.

“We’re trying to build some momentum and it’s happening at a good time for us. Since the World Cup, we’ve picked up a bit and looked a bit better. Some of the boys we’ve brought in are settling in. We’re also scoring a few more goals, which is what we struggled with earlier in the season.”
