Mohit Kapoor on Thursday, March 22, appointed as the new Chief Exucutive Officer (CEO) of the Bamburi Cement Company,Kenya.
Kapoor has taken over from Seddiq Hassani, who served as the CEO for the company since February 2018, he is set to withdraw the role on March 31, 2023.
Before the appointment, Kapoor served as the Country CEO for Holcim Qatar. Despite being CEO, He has also been of service to Holcim India as the Head of Growth and
Innovation, Managing Director of Ready-mix Projects, the Vice President of Logistics &Supply Chain at Lafarge India, and the Senior Project Manager for Lafarge Group Audit.

operational efficiency, have uniquely primed him to lead Bamburi Cement and the team into its next phase of growth,” Bamburi Board Chair John Simba said.
Simba complemented Hassani for his steady leadership, expertise, and beneficial counsel to the Board of Directors, and wished him the best in his future attempts.

The firm’s Board of Directors has on the other hand appointed two new Non-Executive Directors foregoing the departure of John Stull and Guillaume Dubreuil, active on March 31, 2023.
The Non-Executive Directors Rajesh, Surana and Sonal Shrivastava will take over as from April 1 (subject to regulatory approvals) and as Holcim Area Manager for East & South Africa and Chief Finance Officer for Asia, the Middle East, and Africa, respectively.
