Nzoia Sugar unbeaten run continues with a hard-fought 2-2 draw against League leaders Gor Mahia at Sudi Stadium, Bungoma.
The millers are now strong title contenders with the 2-2 draw against K’Ogalo making it nine unbeaten home matches and are fourth with 36 points in this season’s Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKF-PL).

Defending Champions Tusker are third with 34 points same as the Millers and a game in hand.

K’Ogalo scored first with striker Benson Omala on the score line while James Kibande equalized to make it 2-2 with an 82nd minute strike as Ian Karani finds his name on the score line for Nzoia Sugar.

“It is not easy for teams to win here (Sudi Stadium) because of the high level of confidence and fan base,” “We have to fight to keep this record because it is possible as long as we continue with the way we have been playing. It is the confidence that kept us pushing even when we were behind against Gor.”

Tusker’s solid defense created problems for Bandari as they failed to equalize despite numerous attempts. However, Bandari who managed a 2-1 win in the first leg contest, are ninth with 27 points from 17 matches.

“It was a difficult game just as we had anticipated. In the end, it is good that we won. We now have three wins in a row which we must build on,”
Bandari coach Anthony Kimani said:
“Today we were punished because of a concentration lapse in the early minutes of the game.”
