Nairobi R&B is making a triumphant return to the music scene with a special event taking place on Saturday, February 12, at The Winning Post.
Dubbed “Kenya’s response to COLORS but with Live Music,” the night promises to be a soulful and passionate showcase of some of the biggest names in the R&B industry.
Children of Zeus
The night will kick off with a first-time Nairobi appearance from UK duo Children of Zeus. The group has been making waves since their debut album “Travel Light” was released in 2018 and has since toured extensively across the UK, Europe, Australia, and South Africa. With their sophomore album “Balance” showcasing a mature sound blending R&B, hip hop, and neo-soul, Children of Zeus is sure to impress the Nairobi crowd.
Next up, the crowd will be treated to a performance from Nigerian alternative soul artist AYLØ. AYLØ recently released his highly anticipated 10-track album “For Good Reasons” under SOUL HQ management, which explores the trials and triumphs of life and the lessons that can be learned from them.
Closing the night will be Kenyan-born singer-songwriter Xenia Manasseh. With a refreshing new sound and a pure, clear tone, Xenia captivates her audience. She released her first EP in 2019, which debuted at number one on the Kenyan iTunes R&B/Soul charts and #2 in all genres. Currently working on her debut album, Xenia has already released her first single “LowKey” from the upcoming project. She has also been signed as a songwriter to Atlanta-based label UCMG, which is owned by Grammy Award-winning duo Ayo n Keyz.
Overall, the Nairobi R&B event promises to be a night filled with soulful, passionate performances from some of the biggest names in the industry, making it a must-attend for music lovers.
