Liverpool Manager Jurgen Klopp was in no mood after his team’s abysmal performance on Saturday night, which pretty matched summed up the torrid season the Reds have had — a stark contrast to the impenetrable EPL side fans had grown accustomed to watching.
The usually enthusiastic manager refused to answer routine questions from a journalist in the post-match press conference following a 3-0 walloping by Wolves.
When covering Liverpool for The Athletic, James Pearce questioned Liverpool’s Manager Jurgen Klopp whether the team’s shaky start to games was a mentality problem. Klopp’s response; “You know why, for all the things you wrote. So If somebody else wanted to ask that question then I’ll answer it.”
After conceding twice in the first 12 minutes, Liverpool found themselves in a difficult position against Wolves. The Liverpool manager had this to say,
“We had that subject through the first part of this season, now not so much…But today it was the pinnacle of our problems because, in a game like this, it is absolutely not allowed.
“You can criticize, you can judge us, you can say whatever you want and you are probably right, I have nothing to say against that because these 12 minutes are not allowed.
“Coming here with all the things we did in the last few days and during the whole season so far, and then we arrive here and this is the outcome, that’s really hard to take, I have to say.”

Liverpool has a week to get their house in order before the Merseyside Derby against Everton on Monday. Everton head into that fixture beaming with confidence, especially after Sean Dyche’s first win as Everton boss, against high-flying Arsenal.
Liverpool will also be facing Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 and that is also a very daunting task, judging from their poor run of form.
