The 2022 People’s Choice Awards ceremony went off big, and fans made their voices heard by voting for their favorites in movies, TV, music, and other categories.
Prior to the Dec. 6 telecast, three major winners were announced: Ryan Reynolds received The People’s Icon Award in recognition of his contributions to the entertainment industry over the last three decades.

In addition, five-time nominee Lizzo accepted The People’s Champion Award for her contributions to music and television, as well as her dedication to promoting diversity and inclusion. Meanwhile, Shania Twain received the Music Icon award and performed a medley of her most famous hits.
Kenan Thompson, who was also nominated for his work on Saturday Night Live, hosted this year’s PCAs, which aired live from Barker Hangar in Santa Monica.
