Kenya’s President William Ruto has appointed Businesswoman Mary Wambui Mungai as the New Chairperson of the Board of Communications Authority of Kenya-CA.
Mary Wambui replaces Gilbert Kibe and will serve a period of 3 years effective from December 2, 2022, he Resigned from the Position on Thursday, December 1.
In his letter to President William Ruto on Friday, Kibe said that he was quitting the position over Personal issues.

He has only worked in the post for 7 months, having been appointed by Former Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta in May this year.
“Due to Personal Interests that I wish to Pursue, I hereby Tender my Resignation as Chairman of the Board of the Communications Authority of Kenya with effect from December 1, 2022,” Gilbert Kibe stated in the letter Copied to the Communications and Digital Economy Cabinet Secretary Eliud Owalo.
