Charlene has met with top officials in counties as well as foreign leaders, which has sparked online speculation about her role in Ruto’s administration.
The state’s first daughter introduced a member of the team she identified as Jermaine Momanyi, who she said heads the Trade and Investments docket in the “Office of the First Daughter” during a closed-door forum.

Although the involvement of members of the First Family, other than the First Lady, is not unusual, questions have risen about Charlene’s role, which remained unknown until her revelations on Tuesday.
For example, former US President Donald Trump had her daughter Ivanka as a senior advisor in his administration. Ivanka also served as the Director of Economic Initiatives and Entrepreneurship.

Trump also had as an advisor his son-in-law Jared Kushner, who worked on key policy issues such as the Middle East.
