With the hustles and bustle of Nairobi city, every person needs to be aware of the key landmarks in the city to avoid cases of getting lost, or worse.

Nairobi is such a vibrant city. It stands out with pomp, exuding such dominance that leaves the entire world, including us in awe. So, everyone wants to come to a big city, for they have been told it is to die for, the air is too expensive to afford and yet, it is still very addictive. For the newbies in this maze of a city, there are landmarks that you must google before you even think about coming to Nairobi, recite and memorize them by heart for they are the same ones that your hosts will use to guide you through.

  • Archives

If you have never heard of this place, you have failed as a human being. This is the epitome of guidance of directions when you are in the city. If you do not know how to manoeuvre around town, just ask for archives and trust that you will find your way to wherever you are going from there.

  • Afya center

This landmark comes a second close to the national archives.  Recently painted green, this one too, is easily accessible, and you cannot miss it if you find it.

  • Kencom

This is one of the many bus terminals in Nairobi. You get to Kencom, you get to anywhere in town. There are surprisingly good places to snack around here as well. Guess they figured everyone must come to Kencom eventually.

  • Railways

This is a popular bus terminal. It suffices as a landmark because it is easy to access and efficient.

  • Huduma center/GPO (General post office)

This is where all the government magic happens, in terms of service delivery. Your hosts ensure that they prep you to locate this place for safety and directions. Its grand appearance makes it impossible to miss.
