Guardian Angel Bus with 21 Passengers Plunges into River

The Guardian Bus Carrying 21 passengers plunged into River Nyambera on Saturday morning in Kisii County leaving at least 4 people with injuries.

Confirming the incident, an official from the Guardian Service Kisii branch office witnessed the accident and stated that the official communication will be delivered later.

The injured people were quickly rushed to the Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital for medical attention.

Most of the injured were male and suffered injuries on the hands, thighs, and abdomen.

Dr. Job Ombuya at the Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital who is attending to the patients said that all of the Four are out of danger and are coping well.

“One person only suffered critical wounds and the rest are responding well to health conditions,” Ombuya said in a statement.

In addition, the doctor said no patient related to the accident died rubbishing an initial rumour that had begun to circulate on Social Media Platforms that one person had succumbed.

The Guardian Angel Service Kisii branch office confirmed that its Headquarters in Nairobi will release a press statement on the matter.
