It’s a girl! Rotimi and Vanessa Mdee Reveal Child’s Gender

Vanessa Mdee and her fiancé Rotimi announced they will be expecting a baby girl after the US based power couple broke the news on social media.

The 34 years old Singer/Songwriter, Vanessa Mdee and the 33 year old Actor Rotimi have been famous love birds since 2020 after they met at an Essence Festival after party in New Orleans, and making their relationship status official on December 30, 2020 when the couple got engaged in Atlanta.

The two love birds blossomed faster and by September 2021, they already extended their family and allowed parenthood when they welcomed Seven, their firstborn son.

In a sweet Instagram post they revealed they were expecting their first child together, who they welcomed in September 2021.

In yet another post, Rotimi and Vanessa Mdee unveils the gender of their expected baby number two, a month after their son turned one year.

This news was shared by Vanessa Mdee in her Instagram post where she shared a gender reveal video and the news.

“We’re excited to announce that our baby girl is on the way. What a beautiful testament to God’s favor. We are overjoyed,” the couple noted.

Rotimi opens the umbrella and releases pink confetti which rains down on the couple.

“Baby No. 2 ✨Glory to God … It’s a girl,” Mdee shared with her Instagram fans.

Rotimi also re-posted the news in his social media accounts.

“Baby #2! It’s a girl.” noted Rotimi.

Their social media accounts went into a frenzy as fans congratulated them.

The revelations on having a second baby came in December 2021 two months after their son’s birthday, Vanessa had hinted on it.

The couple after the birth of their son has been under wraps especially Vanessa.

Vanessa had kept off the limelight and social media, this is after revealing that she was fighting a lot earlier this year.

She shared her battle with postpartum depression through an Instagram post, noting that most people do not understand what new mothers experience.

“A lot of people do not know the struggles of postpartum depression and what it’s like to be a new mum.

“It is something that needs to be talked about more. Even if you have a great support system and an amazing partner, you could still suffer from post-partum depression,” she said.

She is among other celebrity mums who have openly come out to talk about it and taken a step back to focus on themselves and motherhood.
