Having been the main man behind Comedy Central’s ‘The Daily Show’, popular South African Comedian, producer, writer, political commentator, and Television host, Trevor Noah, has confirmed his upcoming plans to leave the popular show a couple of weeks ago.

Trevor Noah set to quit ‘The Daily Show’ after seven years

Trevor Noah has fronted ‘The Daily Show‘ since September 2015 and is well known for his seamless humour application, provocative conversations, and insightful opinions.

In a statement, Comedy Central has said; “Whether it was tackling presidential campaigns, police violence, and systemic racism or navigating a global pandemic, he has entertained and enlightened audiences through his unique voice and perspective.”

The show is set to take a break until January 17, but Comedy Central Management has not given any communication on Trevor’s replacement.

Trevor Noah will host his last episode on Thursday, December 8, ending a successful seven-year run. Comedy Central has revealed that from Dec 5 onwards, ‘The Daily Show’ will take a ‘celebratory look back’ at Trevor Noah’s best moments on the show.

President and chief executive of Paramount Media Networks and MTV Entertainment Studios, Chris McCarthy, in a press release said: “Trevor is an incredible talent who has left an indelible mark on The Daily Show and we’re grateful for his creative partnership over the past seven years.”

Trevor Noah has however hinted that the next step of his career might involve more stand-up work.
