Nairobi Senator, Edwin Sifuna’s motion against the abolishment of parking fees in hospitals, shopping malls, and airports received a nod to the house of the senate after addressing it on Wednesday, October 26.
Sifuna complained about the high parking fees charged at this premises, especially for the BodaBoda guys.
Should the proposal be passed into law, BodaBoda guys will be excluded from these heavy charges at the parking lots.
The house came all into an agreement and endorsed Sifuna’s motion to abolish this parking fee.
Sifuna said the policy framework would protect motorists from exploitation by hospitals, shopping malls, and airports.
“Most of the malls in Nairobi, although you’re going there to give them money, they still want to take money from you at the parking,” said the Nairobi Senator Sifuna.
Thereafter the senator, Sifuna thanked the senator for the unanimous support of the motion.
