Kirinyaga; The Police force in Mwea East, Kirinyaga county has started an investigation after a 17-year-old girl reportedly killed her father over evening food on Sunday night.

Justus Mutiso, 34, the father of a form two girl arrived home at 10.30 pm and found his wife had gone for evening fellowship prayers at a nearby church.

Mutiso gave his daughter orders to serve him food but things went apart and stated that saying it was not her duty to do so.

The situation worsened and Mutiso took actions that made her daughter take off for the nearby church which was 500 meters away from their home and signaled the mother about the occurred incident.

Magdalene Muthoni the wife of Mutiso came back from church with the daughter and served him food.

In late hours, Justus Mutiso complained about the daughter over her indiscipline cases while at home.

The nearby witnesses said in a statement that he attacked her once more but in tactical self-defense, the form two girl made an approach with a kitchen knife and stabbed her father on the left side of his chest.

“Due to the matter, I had to quickly rush home after getting the information about the evening food. I smartly carried out my duties as a woman but on a sad note my husband is gone”, Magdalene Muthoni said.

The body of Justus Mutiso was quickly rushed to Kimbimbi Sub-County Hospital where he was announced dead.

“I witnessed my beloved husband breathing at his last moment following knife injuries which affected him’’, Muthoni added to her statement.

Mwea East police boss Daniel Kitavi said that the case is being huddled as a murder. The police also said that the student will strategically face the law once the investigations reaches to an end.

On the other hand, area Chief- Henry Kariuki added to a statement that the murder weapon was seized and would be used as evidence in court.
