DCI Boss Amin Mohamed Declares his Phone Number for Public to Reach Him Directly

The recently appointed Director of Criminal Investigation (DCI) boss, Amin Mohamed, has made his phone number known in an effort to fill the vacuum left following the resignation of former DCI director George Kinoti.

Amin addressed his number during his oath of office, administered by Chief Justice Martha Koome on Wednesday, October 19 at the Supreme Court of Kenya, and explained that it was a component of keeping his records accurate.

“I will always be available and for purposes of records I wish to declare my number, which is 0722415419 so that any member of the public, any person who feels like reaching out to me can easily do so,” said Amin.

Amin has affirmed to Kenyans that he will deliver the necessary services as far as his position in the office is concerned.

“I promise the Kenyan people that as the DCI, I’m going to discharge my duties and responsibilities professionally, with the utmost integrity and respect. As a service, we shall make sure that we adhere to our constitutional standards and fundamental freedoms. We shall ensure and endeavour to make sure Kenya will be a safe and secure country for all the people that live therein.”

Earlier, DCI boss Amin served in the DCI department before being appointed to the topmost rank in Interpol.

DCI boss Amin Mohamed was shortlisted alongside nine other candidates who sought a similar position in the DCI department.

The nine were: Bernard Barasa, Eliud Lagat, Munga Nyale, and Esther Seroney.

Others were David Birech, Jonyo Wiso, Nicholas Kamwende, Paul Ndambuki and Dr Wanderi Mwangi.
