Meru Governor, Kawira Mwangaza has appointed her husband, Murega Baichu to work voluntarily in two county positions.
Mwangaza made the declaration at the governor’s office as she unveiled her cabinet.
According to Governor Kawira, her husband, Baichu will serve as the Meru Youth Service patron and the Ambassador to Meru’s hustlers.
Governor Kawira however stated that Baichu will take his role without expecting any payment.

“His excellency first gentleman Murega of Meru county currently holds the Ambassaodorial role by the Ministry of Tourism and when you see him there he is an apostle.
“Today we are giving him a job without pay and allowances. He will be a volunteer in the docket of Meru Youth Service,” Mwanganza announced.
She explained that her husband will help her in undertaking her mandate as the county boss and represent the voice of the hustlers in her administration.
“I have also given him another powerful role as Meru Hustlers Ambassador. He will be reporting to the governor so when you see him with his cap at Governor’s office, just know he will be representing the hustlers,” the governor stated.
