Aden Duale Calls for Action Against Four IEBC Commissioners

Aden Duale calls for action against the Four commissioners in IEBC

Garissa Member of Parliament Aden Duale has given his sentiments about the actions of the four Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) who disagreed with their chairman Chebukati about the results.

In his opinion, the four commissioners led by chairperson Juliana Cherera almost sunk the nation into chaos by dissenting with their leader in the commission.

“Their actions were also nothing short of gross misconduct as they worked in cohort with their wicked masters to negate a free and fair election,” he said.

Aden Duale reminded the four; Juliana Cherera, Justus Nyang’aya, Irene Masit, and Francis Wanderi that their actions call for action against them after the court’s declaration of the elections as valid and rightful in process.

“Consequently, the four commissioners should be held accountable both individually and collectively. They cannot turn on and off like a switch and expect us to just forget everything. They must face the music,” Duale stated.

Further questioning their motive after they came out in a presser accepting the court’s verdict that upheld the election of William Ruto as the president of Kenya in a free and fair process. A process they had earlier on stood against claiming there was an opaque nature of the way things were done.

“No, it cannot be business as usual!  The actions in what appeared like cinema featuring Cherera as the lead actor and voice actress is a pure blatant gross violation of the Constitution and the law for attempting to subvert the will of People through fabrications,” Duale shared.

Concluding that the commissioners having engaged in such a coercive action against their own commission and employer calls for their quitting from the commission, especially after the court declared the win to be upheld.

“Article 251 of the Constitution which provides for the removal of commissioners on grounds of gross violation of the Constitution and the law and gross misconduct can only be the only solution! This is the music they must face,” he added.
