Naturalist, Sir David Attenborough, received a prestigious royal honor for his work in television and conservation, in an investiture ceremony at Windsor Castle on Wednesday, June 8.
The 96-year-old was honored by Prince Charles with the Knight Grand Cross of the Order of St Michael and St George for services to television broadcasting and efforts to fight climate change.

It is the second royal honor Attenborough has been invested with, having been knighted by the Queen in 1985.

Prior to this Royal honour, Attenborough was recognised as a champion of the earth by the United Nations environment programme (UNEP) becoming the fifth person to receive the award for lifetime achievement.
