Our simple and amazing recipe is here to make your cooking easy at the comfort of your home. If you’re a fan of chicken and love sticky wings, here is an easy recipe for you to follow in order to achieve crispy and sweet wings.
Sticky wings are the ideal meal if you want to cook up tasty comfort food for guests as snacks or starters, or if you need a quick tasty meal that kids will love to bite into.
The recipe is quite simple and well broken down with a video for those who would like a little bit more direction on how to come up with this tasty dish.
The following ingredients are necessary for this preparation:
- Chicken pieces (wings preferably)
- Chopped onions
- Garlic
- Tomatoes
- Soy sauce
- Salt
- Paprika
- White pepper
- Rosemary herbs
- Parsley herbs
- Sesame seeds
- Honey
- Barbeque sauce
Once you have acquired all the ingredients listed above, below are the steps that you should follow and video:
Step 1
After cleaning your chicken, use a chopping board and cut it into small piecesbecause small pieces will cook faster than large chunks.
Step 2
Place the chopped pieces in a bowl then add salt to flavor the wings as salt is best added prior to cooking.
Step 3
Add white pepper as you stir with the mixing stick turning the pieces to ensure even distribution on the wings. White pepper has a milder flavor profile than black pepper, so it’s a 1-1 substitute.
Step 4
Add paprika for flavoring.
Step 5
Add soy sauce as it provides a delicious, rich flavor.
Step 6
Mix together– For even distribution of the spices on all pieces.
Step 7
Pour adequate oil on your pan depending with the number of wings you’re preparing then place the pan on heat for about 3 mins in order achieve the desired pan heated temperature. After the 3 mins you drop the wings into the pan.
Step 8
Chop half an onion and add to the frying chicken in the pan. The onions gives the dish a rich umami flavor and a subtle sweetness.
Step 9
Chop about 4-5 cloves of garlic and add as it is important for base flavor.
Step 10
Mix them together and allow them to fry with the chicken for about 2 mins as you turn the pieces.
Step 11
Reduce the heat to low medium as you add rosemary herbs for seasoning.

After 1 min turn off the cooker and empty the pieces in a baking tray.
Step 13
Place the baking tray containing the wings in the oven and set the timer for baking to 15 mins.

After 15 mins, remove them from the oven and while they’re still on the baking tray, add honey to give the wings the sticky feel and sweet flavor.

Also don’t forget to add barbeque sauce to keep the meat moist & it brings out an amazing flavor when mixed with honey.

Mix them together on the baking train to ensure even distribution of the sauce and honey between the wings.

At this point you are done and you can serve your wings. Chop one tomato to decorate or embellish the wings.

Sprinkle a bit of Sesame seeds on your wings as It’s an edible garnish and also nutritious.

Before serving you can also add parsley herbs as it gives the meal an additional lift.
