Jurassic World Dominion: Movie Review of Jurassic Park Finale

I grew up with a dinosaur fixation, I could really relate to Ross in the series Friends who is a Paleontologist obsessed with these prehistoric reptiles. Jurassic World is like the Holy Grail of Dinosaur movies. And after all of the Jurassic Park movies I have seen, I can say World Dominion is the coolest, in terms of the character and plot development.

It is the sequel to Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018). The sixth installment in the Jurassic Park franchise, the final film in the Jurassic world trilogy, and the conclusion to the storyline started in the original Jurassic park trilogy.

It takes you through a vivid encounter of some killer scenes from the past and reunites us with all our favourite characters and dinosaurs.

The cinematography and CGI was fantastic, there were some terrifying moments — popcorn fumbling ones — and the Dilophosaurus scene was just to die for!

It was a joy to see old characters reuniting with the new cast and blending so seamlessly in one ensemble.

Dominion takes place four years after Isla Nublar has been destroyed. Dinosaurs now live—and hunt—alongside humans all over the world.

This fragile balance will reshape the future and determine, once and for all, whether human beings are to remain the apex predators on a planet they now share with history’s most fearsome creatures.

The final installment of the Jurassic series invoked nostalgia through the reintroduction of the original cast and yet brought a futuristic feel through the fight scenes and epic prehistoric reptilian battles.

That combined with the Anga Imax Cinema experience was absolutely worth it — the couch can’t do the same justice the big-screen did.

Both Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, who play Owen Grady and Claire Dearing, did an excellent job in their respective roles. Each actor has given their utmost in portraying and reliving their characters from past films.

The return of cast members from Jurassic Park is a welcome sight, with Laura Dern reprising her role as Dr. Ellie Sattler, Jeff Goldblum reprising his role as Dr. Ian Malcolm, and Sam Neil reprising his role as Dr. Alan Grant.

Though their reappearance for the Jurassic franchise’s last chapter was a lovely touch, particular recognition must be given to each of the three who managed to replicate the same bond they shared in the 1990 movie. Apart from them, the rest of the supporting cast have done decently well in their given roles.

Jurassic World Dominion is a film directed by Colin Trevorrow, written by Trevorrow and Emily Carmichael and based on a story by Trevorrow and Derek Connolly.
