Who is deceiving Who, Kingi or Jumwa?

PAA party leader Amason Jeffah Kingi is regarded as one
of the politicians whose end will be determined in the August 9 polls.

The fact that Kingi joined the Kenya Kwanza coalition
could serve as an added advantage or a plot toward his political ambitions.

The
Kilifi political atmosphere is spiralling out of control following the
political upsurge between the county bigwigs, each claiming a stake within the
county.

Kilifi UDA Gubernatorial candidate, Aisha Jumwa,
and PAA party candidate, George Kithi, exhibit the same interest of all
contributing to one band (Kenya Kwanza).

Kithi unveiled himself as a contester after the launching
of the PAA party led by Governor Amason Kingi. Earlier on, Kithi branded his
name as a senatorial candidate before altering his position to vie for governor.

On the other hand, Aisha Jumwa racks to be a Kilifi UDA
sailor despite running short of hitchhikers. She is known to be an outstanding
leader who never disappoints her boss Ruto, in any case.

Similarly, Kithi seems to cruise on the same boat,
trailing as Kingi’s low bidder and stunt to his party.

However, their political jitters spur thousands of
backscratching questions considering the election period is fast looming. Some
say that Kingi is artificing Jumwa while some conclude that she is an intricate
planner and that there is a possibility of Kingi being left in the lurch.

Kingi’s conspiracy deal against Jumwa

Kilifi’s outgoing Governor became jargon for about two
weeks or some following his rapid decision of bolting out of the Azimio-Oka
coalition, contemplating it as a mistrust alliance shrouded with secrecy and
therefore as the PAA party thought hard to reach a consensus.

In Kenya Kwanza, Kingi expressed his point of view,
planning to address three agendas that indeed affected the coastal region.

According to Kingi, the PAA party was seeking
partners to drive the agendas of historical land injustices, region economy,
and inclusivity in mainstream public service of the coastal persons.

“Due to historical and continued marginalization of coast
region, PAA prioritized three agenda items and one being the land issue that
has really been the coastal vice, regional economy and fighting for inclusivity
in mainstream public service of the coastal people,” Kingi stated.

All the same, is Kingi having good plans for Jumwa
considering Kithi is in Kingi’s political surroundings?

The signing agreement between the PAA party and Kenya
Kwanza was crafted to be a new birth of Governor Kingi after serving as a loyal
servant to his long-last boss, Raila Odinga.

Alongside the three-party scripted agendas, Kingi is
gaping a good marketing site for his newly born party (PAA) by simply seeking
consent from his backyard.

Kingi’s aspirations became apparent after Jumwa’s recent
speech that appears to throw political missiles at Governor Kingi.

“Kenya Kwanza coalition and UDA has been and will
continue to support actively and promotes all its candidates vying for various
positions in Kilifi County. There will be no zoning in Kilifi County.” Aisha
stated.

How can Kingi deliver the 50% votes to Kenya Kwanza
without converts?

The PAA party leader is among the party principles at the
loggerheads as looking for ways to pursue Ruto’s deal of delivering many votes
to him. However, this becomes a dry puzzle for Kingi in bagging 50 per cent of
Kilifi County votes.

According to Kenyayote statistics, the total number of
Kilifi registered voters stands at 511,068.

A
number that Kingi should obtain half of it to attain his 50 per cent deal. Out
of 35 wards within Kilifi County, it will require more effort for Kingi to win
at least a good number of MCAs for his candidate, George Kithi.

Meanwhile, this appears to be a more formidable pact,
assuming Aisha is working on the same tactic too.

Without getting more slots in PAA, Kingi’s bargaining
power will end up in vain since his candidate will lack majority support.

A trick or no trick will be predetermined by the upcoming
9 August General election.
