Arsenal One Win Away from Historic Premier League Title as Rival Fans Stir ‘Trophyless’ Debate

Arsenal are one win away from their first Premier League title in 22 years as rival fans fuel online debates ahead of the Crystal Palace clash.

Arsenal are on the brink of ending a 22-year wait for the Premier League title after taking control of the title race with a 1-0 win over Burnley heading into the final week of the season.

The Gunners sit top of the table with 82 points from 37 matches, five points ahead of defending champions Manchester City, who still have one game in hand.

Mikel Arteta’s side now know that victory against Crystal Palace on May 24 would mathematically secure the club’s first league crown since the legendary “Invincibles” campaign of 2003/04.

An Arsenal victory would move them to 85 points, a total City would be unable to surpass even if Pep Guardiola’s men win their remaining fixtures.

Manchester City Result Could Decide Title Earlier

Arsenal supporters could have reason to celebrate even before the final day.

If Manchester City fail to beat AFC Bournemouth on Tuesday night, the title would immediately belong to Arsenal regardless of the result against Crystal Palace.

However, a City victory would push the title race to the final round of fixtures. In that scenario, Arsenal would still need at least a win to guarantee the championship, as any slip-up combined with another City victory could see the trophy dramatically change hands.

The tense finale has added even more pressure to what has already been one of the most competitive Premier League seasons in recent years.

Rival Fans Push ‘What If’ Scenarios Ahead of Crucial Clashes

While Arsenal fans are dreaming of domestic glory, rival supporters have flooded social media with hypothetical scenarios questioning whether the North London club could still finish the season without silverware.

Attention has particularly shifted toward Arsenal’s upcoming UEFA Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain on May 30 and their remaining PL fixture against Crystal Palace.

A viral post from fan account of Trey (@UTDTrey) sparked online debate after posting:

“What if Arsenal lose against Crystal Palace & PSG and still end up trophyless”

The comment quickly gained traction among rival supporters hoping for a dramatic collapse from Arteta’s side.

For Arsenal, the stakes could hardly be higher.

The club has spent much of the past decade rebuilding following the departure of legendary manager Arsene Wenger from the peak years that delivered multiple league titles and historic achievements.

Under Arteta, Arsenal have transformed into genuine title contenders again.

Winning the Premier League would not only end a lengthy title drought but also cement Arteta’s project as one of European football’s major success stories.
