Kenyan media personality Kamene Goro has once again set social media abuzz after making a bold and hilarious confession about her husband DJ Bonez during episode 306 of the Mic Cheque podcast.
Speaking with hosts Mwas, Chaxy, and Mariah, Kamene recounted a light-hearted exchange with Bonez that took a surprising turn.
“He was telling me about football,” she said. “I don’t know anything about football. He said Arsenal’s stadium is next to Fulham’s, and I was like, really? I even asked, ‘Where is Half Harm?’”
That innocent mix-up, Kamene explained, annoyed Bonez – leading to an unforgettable reaction.
“He got angry, stood up and farted in my face,” she said, bursting into laughter.
The hosts couldn’t believe it. “I did not see that coming,” Mwas said, while Chaxy cheekily asked, “Was it smelling?” Mariah was on the floor laughing as Kamene added, “I didn’t breathe – I just ran away!”
She went on to clarify that it wasn’t the first time such a thing had happened. “That’s not the first time Bonez has done that,” she admitted. “That’s just him. Bonez is an expert farter. If he doesn’t fart, you know he’s sick.”
Kamene also opened up about their long history together. “We’ve known each other since I was 26,” she said. “I’m 33 now. At first, we hated each other, but with time, we became really close.”
She revealed that Bonez isn’t the first DJ she’s dated — but said he’s “different.”
“There’s just something about him,” she said. “People criticise everything, especially when you’re in the public eye. But I know what we have. He’s real.”
Looking back, Kamene reflected on how much she’s grown over the years. “I was wild,” she admitted. “Fearless and unapologetic. I think I’ve calmed down a bit now, but I’m still me.”
The Mic Cheque episode quickly went viral, with fans split between laughter and shock. Yet, as always, Kamene took it all in stride.
“People will always talk,” she said with a smile. “So you might as well live your truth.”
